Taking the LSAT in Australia

    Australian Flag - LSATAre you taking the LSAT in Australia? The LSAT is required for admission to Melbourne Law School and the University of Western Australia. The LSAT is also used for admission to law schools throughout the US and Canada. 

    In Australia, the LSAT is offered in 10 separate locations:

    • Australia Adelaide, SA, LTC Testing 

    •  Australia Brisbane, QLD, Queensland University of Technology

    • Australia Canberra, ACT, Australian Institute of Sport (June exam only)

    • Australia Canberra, ACT, University of Canberra (June exam not offered)

    •  Australia Darwin, NT, Darwin Examination Centre

    • Australia Hobart, TAS, University of Tasmania

    • Australia Melbourne, VIC, University of Melbourne

    • Australia Melbourne, VIC, Monash University Clayton Campus (September/October exam only)

    • Australia Perth, WA, University of Western Australia y

    • Australia Sydney, NSW, LTC Testing Centre

    Most of these testing centers offer all four administrations of the LSAT, unless otherwise noted above. A complete list of LSAT test dates and deadlines can be found here.

    Testing center locations are subject to change. You should refer to your LSAC.org account for the most current information regarding open test centers. It is also  advised that international students register for the LSAT as soon as possible, as testing center space is limited. Students can register online through their LSAC.org account or by calling LSAC at 215.968.1001. 

    In Australia, the use of the LSAT is a relatively new phenomenon, and thus there are not many on-the-ground LSAT preparation options.
