The LSAT is taken by students wishing to attend law schools throughout the US and Canada, but the test is administered across the globe, as the LSAT continues to spread internationally. (Check out this blog post we wrote about the LSAT moving abroad.)
In the Philippines, the LSAT is administered in Quezon City at the University of the Philippines in February, September/October, and December (note that it is not offered in June). A complete list of LSAT dates and deadlines can be found here.
LSAC does state that some published centers may have been closed, so be sure to refer to your LSAC.org account for the most up-to-date information regarding open test centers. For the most current information about taking the LSAT internationally, or if you have any questions, refer to LSAC for more information.
LSAC advises that international students register for the LSAT as early as possible, as testing center space is limited. Students can register online through their LSAC.org account or by calling LSAC at 215.968.1001
Also worth noting is that all international LSAT administrations are nondisclosed, meaning that students will only receive access to their LSAT score, score band, percentile rank, and writing sample. Students don't get a copy of the LSAT questions, answer sheet, the correct answers, or the score conversion sheet.
In addition to the US LSAT, the Philippine LSAT (PhiLSAT) and the Law Aptitude Exam (LAE) are also offered. Students should research which exam is required for entrance into the law school to which they plan to apply. For example, students who apply to the University of the Philippines College of Law will need to take the LAE.
In the Philippines, the use of the LSAT is a relatively new phenomenon, and thus there are not many on-the-ground LSAT preparation options. However, there are still many high-quality LSAT preparation options available to LSAT takers there, including PowerScore's Live Online LSAT courses, On Demand LSAT courses, self-study using LSAT preparation books like the LSAT Bibles, and online LSAT tutoring. These courses and publications will also help students preparing for the PhiLSAT and LAE.
