Taking the LSAT in Nigeria

Nigeria LSAT

Are you taking the LSAT in Nigeria? Students take the LSAT if they plan to attend law schools in the US and Canada. However, the test administers across the globe. Check out this post about taking the LSAT abroad.

In Nigeria, only one location offers the LSAT: Lagos, the Educational Advising Center. They administer the exam once a year in June. You can find a complete list of test dates and deadlines here. Students should know that testing center locations are subject to change. Refer to LSAC for the most up-to-date information or if you have any questions.

International students should register for the LSAT as soon as possible, as testing center space is limited. You can register online through your LSAC.org account or by calling LSAC at 215.968.1001.

Unlike the US, all international LSAT administrations are nondisclosed. This means that students will only receive access to their LSAT score, score band, percentile rank, and writing. They don’t include the text or answers in the score reports. In Nigeria, the use of the LSAT is a relatively new phenomenon, and therefore there are not many on-the-ground LSAT preparation options there. However, there are still many high-quality LSAT preparation options available to LSAT takers there, including PowerScore’s Live Online LSAT courses, On Demand LSAT courses, self-study using LSAT preparation books like the LSAT Bibles, and online LSAT tutoring.

August 2025 is the net scheduled LSAT, although international dates vary. Fall 2025 LSAT dates have not yet been officially announced.

Does this mean I can take the test online without going to a physical center?

          Hi Olanike,

Yes, that’s correct! The LSAT is currently being administered in an online, live remote-proctored format through June 2022. Feel free to learn more about the LSAT format here: https://www.lsac.org/lsat-august-2021-and-beyond.

          Thank you!

      Hello!

The test is online now, and so it is accessible anywhere without the need for country-specific dates. All you need to do is sign up for an international test in the Europe, Africa, and the Middle East region. The next dates are:

      October 2021 — LSAT
      TBD, Week starting October 9

      January 2022 — LSAT
      TBD, Week starting January 15

      April 2022 — LSAT
      TBD, Week starting April 30

      June 2022 — LSAT
      TBD, Week starting June 11

At some point, more test dates will be announced for later in 2022.

      Thanks and good luck!

      Hi Alikeju,

Thanks for the question. Unfortunately, LSAC’s website states that only students with US, Canadian, or Australian citizenships — or students who fall under certain specific circumstances in those countries — are eligible for the fee waiver. You can see the full list of requirements for the LSAC Fee Waiver here: https://www.lsac.org/lsat/lsat-dates-deadlines-score-release-dates/lsat-cas-fees-and-refunds/fee-waivers-lsat-credential.

      Hi Barakat,

The only two international dates listed so far this year are:

      Saturday, January 11, 2020
      Saturday, March 28, 2020

However, we expect new dates within the next week or so, and that will give you more options!

      Thanks!

      Hi Elizabeth,

Thanks for the question! The only remaining test this year in Nigeria is Saturday, October 12, 2019, at Edgewood College in Lagos.

As for test information, there is a wealth on our site, starting at https://www.powerscore.com/lsat/help/. All aspects of the test are explained there!

As far as free tests, here are links to four free LSATs: https://familiar.lsac.org/ and https://www.lsac.org/sites/default/files/legacy/docs/default-source/jd-docs/sampleptjune.pdf.

Hopefully that helps get you started!
