Course Materials and Preparing for Your Course

Shipping Information

Live Online Accelerated Classroom and Archived Lesson Access

The Live Online Accelerated course will take place in the Blackboard platform. You will receive an email two business days prior to the start of class containing your Blackboard login credentials and system setup instructions.

After each lesson concludes it is immediately archived for you to review while you study on your own. You can go back and watch entire lessons or specific portions of lessons that you want to focus on. You will have access to Blackboard and the archived recordings for a period of 120 days from your course start date.

PowerScore Student Portal

When you enrolled as a student with PowerScore, you either created or were provided with login information for the PowerScore Student Portal. If you don’t recall your login information, use the “Reset Password” function on the Portal login page. Your username is typically your email address.

Within this Portal you’ll find...

A Course Schedule. Please click the "My Enrollments" box and select your course to make sure you know when your class meets. Note that all class times are listed in Eastern Time.
Information about your account with PowerScore. Here you can view your payment history, our contact information, tutoring inquiries you have made, and more.
Access to your Online Student Center. This one-stop-shop for all your study needs contains homework, lesson supplements, and many more invaluable resources.

The Online Student Center

You now have access to the PowerScore Online Student Center which is the hub for practice tests and scoring, homework explanations, pre- and post-test advice, and 19+ hours of additional on-demand lessons taught by our senior instructors. While your course book and in-class instruction are critical components of your PowerScore experience, your out-of-class efforts are equally vital to achieving your goals.

Before your class begins, log into your Student Portal and visit the Student Center to familiarize yourself with its various sections. More on this below!

Everything is organized to help you stay on track and build upon concepts learned in class, so plan to visit your OSC as often as possible as you work through the course.

Within your OSC you’ll find the following five sections. Let’s take a brief look at each:

Pre-Course Work

Before your course begins, we recommend reviewing the section labeled “Pre-Course Work” that contains some key background information on the LSAT and an overview on what the different sections will be testing. You’ll also be able to learn about the scoring scale and what your score represents in relation to how you stack up against other law school hopefuls.

In addition to this information, you’ll also be able to access your pre-course practice test, provided to you in digital and paper format. Taking this practice test is not required, but we do recommend that all students take this test before the class begins in order to give you a preliminary score, introduce you to the LSAT, and provide you with initial insights into your strengths and weaknesses Also, we recommend that students take the test in the format (either digital or paper) in the format in they expect to take it on their official test day.

Keep in mind that this first exam is recommended so that you have an idea of what the LSAT is like under test day conditions. It is NOT an indicator of your potential, so if you score lower than you’d hoped don’t panic! This is simply a score from which you will build upon.

Practice Test

One of the most important aspects of LSAT preparation is to regularly take official practice tests and track your progress over time. In this section of your Student Center, you’ll find a practice test.

Once you’ve completed your practice test, you will receive a detailed performance analysis. With this feedback you’ll be able to easily identify which concepts you have mastered and which areas still require some attention, allowing you to better plan your future efforts.

Additionally, we have provided you with Online Test Scoring for every available, licensable LSAT so that you can score any paper tests that you may have.

From the “Score Your Tests” tab, click on “Enter Your Answers” next to the appropriate practice test and follow the directions.

Supplemental Lessons and Questions

In this section you will find thorough explanations for all of your Logical Reasoning Homework, on-demand video lessons taught by PowerScore CEO Dave Killoran and Vice President Jon Denning, and general LSAT tips that will help guide you as you practice on your own time. The videos are a must-watch for any LSAT test taker and contain endlessly valuable information on specific LSAT strategies and LSAT intangibles such as Test Mentality.

Email Assistance

Through the Email Assistance Program, PowerScore instructors are happy to answer any of your questions from the course materials. To utilize this powerful resource, please submit your question by email to lsat@powerscore.com, and if applicable, include the book title, page number, and question number. Your access to the Email Assistance Program begins on the first day of class and expires 90 days after your course is over.

As a reminder, be sure to review the question explanations in your book and Online Student Center when you first encounter difficulty. More often than not your question will be answered before you even have to ask it!

Will you register me for the LSAT?

PowerScore does not register students for the actual LSAT. You must complete the registration through LSAC, the makers of the test, and CAS, their registration and application service. This is done online at www.lsac. org. The deadline to register for each LSAT varies, but is typically at least one month prior to the test date, so if you have not already registered for the next test, consider registering now. Please note that as detailed in the PowerScore LSAT Course Enrollment Agreement, the PowerScore Course Materials (electronic and printed) and access to the Online Student Center are for use solely by the enrolled student and may not be reproduced in any way, auctioned, borrowed, loaned, given, or rented to any other person or entity.
