What’s a prime number?

A prime number is an integer that does not have any factors besides itself and 1, for example:

{2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 13, 17, 19, 23, 29, …}

A few things to keep in mind:

  • One (1) is not a prime number.
  • When prime numbers are multiplied together, the product’s factors are limited to itself, one, and the prime numbers themselves.
