What’s a common factor?
A common factor is a factor shared by two numbers. For example:
Factors of 18 are 1 and 18, 2 and 9, and 3 and 6.
Factors of 15 are 1 and 15 and 3 and 5.
The common factors of 15 and 18 are 1 and 3.
