Taking the LSAT in Brazil

    LSAT Prep

The LSAT is taken by students wishing to attend law schools in the US and Canada, but the test is administered globally, as the LSAT continues to spread internationally. (For more about the LSAT abroad, check out this blog post we wrote.)

In Brazil, the LSAT is offered in two locations. You can take the LSAT in Brasilia at Casa Thomas Jefferson, or in Rio de Janeiro at the Instituto Brasil Estados-Unidos.

Although there are two spots to take the LSAT in Brazil,  the exam is offered there only once per year, in September/October. A complete list of test dates and deadlines can be found here

LSAC advises that students abroad register for the LSAT as soon as possible, as testing center space is limited. Students can register online through their LSAC.org account or by calling LSAC at 215.968.1001. You should refer to your LSAC.org account for the most up-to-date information regarding open test centers.

Please note that all international LSAT administrations are nondisclosed, meaning  that students will only receive  access to their LSAT score, score band, percentile rank, and writing sample. The text of the LSAT and LSAT answers are not included in the score reports.

In Brazil, the use of the LSAT is a relatively new phenomenon, and thus there are not many on-the-ground LSAT preparation options. However, there are still many high-quality LSAT preparation options available to LSAT takers there, including PowerScore's Live Online LSAT coursesOn Demand LSAT coursesself-study using LSAT preparation books like the LSAT Bibles, and online LSAT tutoring.
